PermaLink The mysteries of PHP - setting a NotesItem property01/14/2009 01:01 PM
PHP

You can access Domino COM objects in PHP code.  However, you can't use normal VB-ish syntax to do what you've probably done hundreds of times in LotusScript.  Case in point, how do you set the NotesItem.IsSummary property?  Here's how:

$item = $doc->GetFirstItem ("FullName");
$item->IsNames = true;

Note how calling the GetFirstItem method allows you to use parenthesis, but setting the property does not.  Très bizzare...

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
