I recently received all of the presentation files used at the Notes Domino 7 and Beyond seminar held on September 13. The presentation file used for the keynote address was 11 mg. Faced with the prospect of uploading that file via modem connection (yes, I still use dial-up), I remembered a tip I received from Mark Axley way back on August 29, 2003. There is a free utility called
NXPowerLite that can shrink down a PowerPoint file better than WinZip. Sure enough, I used it, and I was able to get the file down to just over 5 mg. Way cool!
